Namaste Yoga – Head to Knee

I remembered last week that I have FitTV in my satellite package, so I checked out the program schedule.  Lo and behold, there is a yoga series.  I decided to tivo an episode and try it out.  The first episode was called “Head to Knee” and is billed as “the perfect yoga practice for distance runners.”  I’m not a distance runner, but I am a runner.

I did the practice Sunday and it was very nice.  The cuing was very good; I actually found it easier to follow the cuing, rather than try to see the poses on the TV.  The practice worked the hip flexors, calves, and hamstrings.  I have always had extremely tight hamstrings (I’ve never been able to touch my toes in my whole life).  I think this practice will definitely improve my flexibility in that area.

After I finished, I set the tivo to record all the episodes. Free yoga classes at home. How cool is that?
